I always told my daughter to work at becoming her best self, that the man for her is doing the same, and that it would be a shame if she met him and wasn’t ready.
I have heard this before, many many times, LOL…and I can relate to those out there who are just thinking, “I’m ready for this”…..I have voiced those opinions to God, and He has gently chastised me and said, “Honey….no you’re not…” Patience is a big issue that I have been working on. I seem to have a lack of it, and I know that when I am married, patience is something that I will definitely need. I have also found myself being selfish at times (hard to admit, but I’m being real) and I know that being selfish is not the way to truly love someone. It’s important that we look at who we are right now, and see ourselves for who we really are. Then we should look at who God is telling us to be…If we would strive to be more like Jesus, then we would be what we need to be for Mr. Right….
